Is it not possible to investigate any Safaricom ownership issues while at the same time moving on with the privatisation?

Kenyans are ready and waiting to invest in this profitable company, and stopping them will only create confusion and deny those who depend on such IPOs as a means to a livelihood. It will also send a bad signal to international investors at a time when interest in Africa is at an all time high.

For those who will not be able to invest, all will not be lost. Their children will be educated using the money realised, roads will be carpeted and hospitals will be stocked.

Business cannot be allowed to play second fiddle to politics forever. I know politicians are waiting for their big day in December, but that does not mean life has to stop for the rest of us until then. Already, the Government owns too many enterprises. Offloading a few of these can only be a good thing.
